COUNCILMAN MUSCHAL DOUBLES DOWN ON SUPPORT FOR FIGUEROA KETTENBURG
(Trenton) – South Ward Councilman George Muschal today reiterated his strong support for South Ward Council candidate, Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg, saying she’s the future
“Once again, I am announcing my full endorsement for Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg as the candidate to take my seat and represent our South Ward,” said George Muschal, who is retiring from public office in January. “As a neighbor and friend, I can attest to her character and professional skills, she’s the future of Trenton.”
Some serious mistakes have been made in Mercer County this election season
Ballots from more NJ towns turned up in voting machines. No one’s explained how they went missing.
EXTENDING POLLING HOURS
STATEMENT FROM JENNA FIGUEROA KETTENBURG ON EXTENDING POLLING HOURS
As a candidate for Trenton City Council South Ward, and on behalf of the Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg Campaign, I am formally requesting that the polls in Trenton be opened until at least 10pm tonight, in light of the machine malfunctions that have affected voters’ ability to cast their ballots.
I have heard from supporters who were unable to vote this morning, and who are unable to return to their polling location by the 8pm deadline. I have also heard from supporters who were forced to vote by provisional ballot due to untrained and misinformed poll workers. In light of these system wide errors that prevented residents from exercising their right to vote, I am calling on election officials to extend the deadline to accommodate these voters. System failures must not be allowed to disenfranchise voters.
It’s our duty to the people of the City of Trenton to do the right thing by extending voting hours to make up for this error. We have been telling people that every vote matters. I ask that all accommodations be made to ensure that every vote counts.
I look forward to the election officials honoring my request on behalf of the people of the City of Trenton.

George Muschal Endorses Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg for Trenton South Ward Council Seat
WHY I AM ENDORSING JENNA FIGUEROA KETTENBURG FOR SOUTH WARD COUNCIL BY GEORGE MUSCHAL
I am George Muschal and I’m your representative on Trenton City Council where I have had the privilege of serving our South Ward for the past 13 years on the Trenton City Council. I’m writing to provide my official endorsement for Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg as the candidate to take my seat to represent our South Ward. As a neighbor and friend of Jenna, I can attest to her character, her professional skills, both of which will serve us well.
Jenna is a native of our South Ward, raised on Lamberton Street and a graduate of Trenton High School where she now serves as an executive board member of the TCHS Alumni Association. Jenna went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and her Masters degree from Boston University.
Jenna has over 17 years of professional experience as a Principal Investigator for the Office of the Public Defender. She is now the Supervisor of Investigations for the Conflict Investigations Unit with the Department of Children and Families.
Jenna is honest, well educated, and hard working. As an active member of our community, Jenna has consistently volunteered her time and experience to a number of causes that make life better for all of us living here in the South Ward, regardless of our background or native ethnicity.
Jenna is a Kinder Smile Board Member. She was a former Executive Board member of the Latino Merchants Association. Jenna conducted extensive outreach in our community for the Mercer County 2020 Census program. She participated in meal distributions during the height of the pandemic. Jenna continues to participate in community clean ups. And, most recently, during the 2021 holiday season, Jenna coordinated a Rusling Street fire clothing drive. As these examples demonstrate, Jenna has a long history of working hard to bring our community together, and to improve the lives of all of us who call the South Ward our home.
Jenna’s platform stresses public safety, including bridging the gap between law enforcement and residents, as well as taking responsibility to provide clean and safe drinking water for residents of the South Ward. We can rely on Jenna to provide honest, well researched, and intelligent opinions and to vote with public health and safety in mind.
Thank you for taking the time to consider Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg for South Ward representative for Trenton City Council. I am proud to call her a friend, and I know Jenna will represent the South Ward with honesty, intelligence, and hard work.
