NOW LEGIONNAIRES? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
TRENTON – As many of you know, my commitment to public health has been a pillar of my platform as a candidate for Trenton City Council to represent our South Ward. I have been outspoken specifically concerning the threat to our water supply caused by the actions taken by a few of the current members of our City Council. While I am horrified that it has come to this, I will reserve comment regarding the causes of this emergency. Now is the time for action
I will be working with existing elected officials to address this public health emergency. I have already spoken to our South Ward City Council representative, George Muschal to offer my support and assistance. I am committed to doing everything I can / We are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that South Ward residents receive immediate guidance and assistance from State and Federal agencies tasked with addressing public health emergencies.
I urge everyone who receives water from Trenton Water Works to take this threat seriously. One death has already been attributed to the bacteria found in our water supply. But if we take precautions now, we can ensure that no more of us will fall victim to this threat.
I plan to keep residents updated on the situation as it unfolds on my website, jennaforcitycouncil.com and at facebook.com/JennaForSouthWardCouncil. For actions you can take to reduce your risk for Legionnaires Disease, please follow this link for New Jersey Department of Health recommendations:
